Dr. Kate Lanier
Dr. Kate Lanier graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Biology and Psychology. In 2007, she graduated with honors from the University of Alabama School of Optometry. She completed primary care and ocular disease residency at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. She obtained her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2008. After residency, she joined Carolina Family Eye Care, advanced private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina where she practiced for five years until relocating to Cambridge, United Kingdom where she was involved in research, writing, and teaching at Anglia Ruskin University. She has been a contributor for KMK Educational Services and Optometry Today. After moving to Florida, she joined Fisher Eye Associates in the fall of 2016. On a personal note, Dr. Lanier is married with three children. She enjoys being involved in her church, River Oaks Church, and running.
